Arcadiz announces new CEO

Leuven, 5 August 2021 -  After a career of more than 40 years, of which 22 years with Arcadiz, founder and CEO Jos Vermeylen hands over the operational management to Kris Warreyn.

Arcadiz, a telecom solution provider, was founded in 1999 and has evolved into a leading integrator of operator and cloud services that maps out and solves the connectivity issues of its customers. Customisation and technological creativity, with a continued focus on the changing world of telecom with regards to security, volumes and critical networks form the DNA of Arcadiz. The successful company, which now has more than 30 employees, established an office in the Netherlands 10 years ago, and is thus active throughout the Benelux.

Jos Vermeylen, engineer by education, started his career as International Account Manager at Telindus and continued in managerial positions at Infonet and ADC Telecommunications. In June 1999, Jos Vermeylen, together with CTO Marc Vandeputte, founded Arcadiz Telecom NV in Leuven. As from August, he is handing over his operational tasks to a new CEO. Jos Vermeylen will however remain  closely involved with the strategic positioning of the company through his function within the Board of Directors and as main shareholder.

Since August 3^rd effectively, Kris Warreyn has taken over as the new CEO. Kris Warreyn, who as an engineer already had a great career in the telecom world, a.o. as CEO of Alpha Networks, International sales director for Barco Communication Systems and as CEO of Barconet France (acquired by Cisco), has a lot in common with the path Arcadiz has taken.  "Thanks to Kris' experience, passion and personal integrity, the Board of Directors and I have full confidence in our choice. We wish Kris lots of success in his new function and mission to guide Arcadiz to new heights", concludes Jos Vermeylen. Kris Warreyn adds: "I am delighted and honoured that the Board of Directors has entrusted me with this assignment. I am sure that with the unique in-house knowledge and expertise, and with this fantastic team, I can help realise the further growth and prosperity of Arcadiz".
