Vleuten/Heverlee, 19 October 2016 - Arcadiz, optical network integrator in the Benelux, signed a direct VAR partnership agreement with Arista Networks. With the in-depth knowledge of Arcadiz and Arista Networks, cloud service providers and enterprise data centers are ensured of a maximum performance network infrastructure.
Cloud, Mobile, Internet of Things and Big Data demand a shift in technology. High availability between data centers is crucial, but also the need to simplify the network within the data center is important. An optical network, in combination with an open, software defined network infrastructure provides the solution. Arcadiz, specialist in the field of secure optical networks, and Arista Networks, founded to pioneer and deliver software-driven cloud networking solutions, design award-winning platforms, ranging in Ethernet speeds from 10 to 100 gigabits per second, which redefine scalability, agility and resilience.
Combination of switching and routing
In the current application-economy, enterprises need speed, scalability and flexibility between data centers and within the data center. Changing and growing traffic patterns make new demands on the routing functionality where traditional routers are no longer able to meet
The Arista 7500R Series modular switches are the industry’s highest performance universal spine switches. They combine 100GbE density with internet scale table sizes and comprehensive L2 and L3 features and advanced EOS features for network monitoring, precision timing and VXLAN network virtualization.
The 7500R Series enable highly scalable cloud network designs with MLAG, ECMP and VXLAN technologies. The Arista 7500R Series FlexRouteTM engine provides the scalability to support Internet IP routing scale with the lowest power consumption and fast convergence while scaling to millions of routes.
On a daily basis, Arcadiz has to deal with the challenges and complexities that organizations encounter. Gaby Lips, Managing Director Arcadiz Networks: "Efficiently solving the problem of data center clustering and virtualization requires transmission capacity combined with network virtualization, latency and security. All these things can’t be addressed separately, but have to be tuned into one integrated design to achieve the best and most economically advantageous solution. Our knowledge and expertise therefore goes well beyond optical networks and Arista’s portfolio of data centre switches and routers are therefore a valuable addition to our portfolio."
Marc Vandeputte, Business Development Manager at Arcadiz Telecom, adds: "Our strategic partners, such as ADVA Optical Networking, simultaneously are an Arista Ecosystem partner. Here too we strengthen each other in terms of knowledge. In addition, the culture of Arcadiz connects very well with that of Arista. All this forms the foundation of a good cooperation that already has resulted in a Direct VAR Agreement in Belgium.”
